AUSTRU 1/2 pellet is a complete starter and growth food for ostrich, emus and nandous chicks. Divide from the first week until the age of 4 to 6 months, gradually switching to the AUSTRU 3 pellet.

3 mm growth granulate, the first 6 months.

This starter granulate contains sufficient proteins and a good amount of energy, minerals and vitamins for optimal and effective growth. To promote digestibility, this pellet contains a balanced amount of crude cellulose.

To avoid weak bones or legs that grow crooked, it is important that the amount of food does not exceed 5% of body weight. The 3mm granulate presentation ensures fast intake of the food with little waste.

HOW TO USE IT

Period: Divide the first 6 months. From the 4th month, consider this conversion method for optimal growth:

From month 4: 75% AUSTRU 1/2 pellet – 25% AUSTRU 3 pellet

From month 5: 50% AUSTRU 1/2 pellet – 50% AUSTRU 3 pellet

From month 6: 25% AUSTRU 1/2 pellet – 75% AUSTRU 3 pellet

From month 7: 100% AUSTRU 3 pellet

Overeating weakens the bone and causes the legs to be misshapen. It is therefore important to ration their diet: a maximum of 5% of body weight each day.

Advice

For good digestion, always Grit available. The grit also exerts a beneficial effect on the skeleton.

Make sure that the animals always have enough fresh water.

From 5 weeks you can also give fresh, undried food with short strands.

For optimal development and health, take life stages and periods into account.
